IRMANDIÑOS: A REVOLTA (Irmandiños: Uprising) was a program organized by Xunta de Galicia (Government of the Autonomous Community of Galicia)Vicepresidency of Equality and Social Welfare. The project aimed at spreading the medieval history of Galicia (specifically the relevant episode of the Irmandiño Wars, XV century), and its monumental heritage in order to promote its touristic use. The program was composed by conferences, exhibitions and a main event that was held with annual frequency at the Castle of Monterrei (Verín) for 3 editions. 13negativo was responsible for its global design, direction and production, carring out an event coordinated by a team of 80 people and a budget over 180.000 €.

This innovative format of cultural and active leisure, that allowed people to share this historical adventure in such an incomparable location for the first time, got a great sucess certified by attendance numbers. The constant improvement in the event resulted in an exponential increase of registered participants: from 300 on the first edition, to 800 on the third, when the event got a World Guiness Record. In this ocassion, the registration fee was 35 € and all available places were booked in just 24 hours by people from all Spain.

The event got a wide media coverage. Regarding television, TV channels as A3, La2, TVE international or TVG broadcasted different special monographic reports or pieces of news. In written press, the interview of 13NEGATIVO pubished in the newspaper EL PAIS, the multiple articles in Galician newspapers (La Voz de Galicia, La Region...), and the countless references in the internet, tell us about its impact.

The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism of the Galician Government, as well as companies as Cabreiroá, Coren, Coca-Cola, Gadis… Also provided collaboration, among others, the Department of Patrimonium of the Galician Government, IGAEM (Galician Institute of Performing and Musical Arts), the City Councils of Verín and Monterrei, the Archbishopric of Ourense, and the Festa da Historia Foundation.
